Do I believe in fate and/or destiny?

Let me ask you … how do you think we run this whole operation?

There are some things we’ve had to automate. There isn’t enough manpower to balance this all by hand.

We had to set it up after the ladies had a fit. They said they were “overworked” and that all these little human matters were too much for them to keep up with. I suggested just ridding ourselves of the whole process. Who doesn’t love a fresh start?

The ladies said no so we recruited the best and set them to work designing a state of the art system. We call it CLA – the humans love acronyms I’m told. It’s set up with a series of algorithms that begins the weaving of new strings and cuts them at random. The technology is there to fully automate, making decisions in place of the ladies but they felt it might be too hasty. We’re still perfecting that part.

I don’t know all the technicalities but it must work to some degree. The ladies are still there watching over the process but they seem much less stressed now.
